In response to a demand for products and environmental changes to improve the quality of life for those with dementia, Find has developed and manufactured innovative products and environments that have helped to reduce anxiety, increase nutrition and hydration levels and aid exercise and social interaction, bringing many benefits for residents, patients, carers and staff.
Every member of our team is an expert in creating dementia-friendly environments, and are ready to provide you with the advice and support you need to create an environment that aids dementia care.

Signage
Find is the creator of the original and most widely used dementia-specific signage in the world. Using the latest thinking on communication Find provides clear dementia-friendly signage for care facilities across the UK to help reduce confusion and aid daily orientation for people living with dementia.
Dining and Drinking
The Find Dining range of crockery is designed for use in all care settings where cognition, vision and dexterity may be a problem. Our regular clients include Hospitals, schools, care homes and people living in their own homes.
We approached our designs with a great deal of care and spent four years consulting with carers, trainers and people with dementia. The colour, shape, size and materials were all determined by feedback from our research.
Activity and Games
When someone is living with dementia, they can often become stressed by what we usually regard as simple, everyday things. Often, they may become defensive, and unapproachable. Appropriate activities can prompt interaction and help people to open up and feel more at ease. Our dementia-specific activities have been designed to improve communication, social interaction and provide appropriate levels of stimulation – all of which contribute to well-being and quality of life.
Toilet and Bathroom Aids
Find uses the latest research findings to present dementia-friendly products that help with day-to-day living. Using coloured grab rails, surround frames and raised toilet seats can all help you to adapt your existing bathroom area and minimise falls. Our solutions are all about using highly visible and high contrast colour to establish a clear route to the toilet and once there, to use the same principles to ‘decipher’ that environment by making the important things, grab rails and the toilet itself, easier to see. This boosts confidence and independence as well as helping to maintain or restore dignity.
Orientation
Find communication aids are designed to help a person with dementia and the people around them communicate more effectively and reduce the associated stress and frustration. Feedback is the only way we can understand how the simple things we take for granted turn into seemingly insurmountable catastrophes when dementia is involved.
Sensory and Therapy
Sensory stimulation has been shown to not only bring enjoyment and fun to people living with Alzheimer’s but also helps to fight anxiety and depression while increasing social interaction. Sensory stimulation can also help people stay independent for longer, promote understanding and a sense of belonging as well as help people express how they are feeling.

For a person living with dementia, understanding the time and date can be more important than ever and paradoxically, more challenging too. Designed in consultation with clients and people with dementia, we have a clock suitable for any setting. With clear and easy-to-read displays, Find dementia clocks are designed to make telling the time easier and differentiating between night and day and days of the week less confusing.
Reminisce Pictures, Memory Boxes
For some people who are living with dementia, new memories are unable to form, more recent memories are often no longer accessible and older more deep-seated memories become the most recent. Find’s reminiscence library is full of scenes, products, places, and people that are ‘of an era’ making them exceptionally effective in stimulating memories and prompting conversations valuable for increased interaction and supporting well-being
